Nutmeg is available for adoption, she is being fostered in Tampa, Florida (Hillsborough County). Sugar, spice, and everything nice? This girl has got it all! Nutmeg (~1 year old, Catahoula mix) was found in an Alabama junkyard with her seven puppies. She did a fantastic job caring for her puppies, and now she’s looking for a family that can care for her. Nutmeg has spent her time in foster learning about how great life can really be. She loves snoozing on couches and eating snacks, but her absolute favorite thing is getting pets from her people. While Nutmeg is still initially very timid of new people and loud noises (who can blame her!), she warms up quickly with the help of some snacks and gentle pets. Once she decides you’re good, then she is all wiggles, kisses, cuddles, and sass. Nutmeg will adapt her energy to whatever is going on around her. Want to have a lazy day at home? That's fine, make some room on the couch. Want to go for a long walk? That's fine too, and make sure to pack some snacks! Have another dog in the house? Even better, it's time for some zoomies. Nutmeg is dog-friendly and loves roughhousing with other friendly dogs, even dogs that are twice her size! While her current foster doesn’t have a cat, she may also be cat-friendly too (she was cat-tested at the shelter and tried to mother the test kitten). Nutmeg is leash-trained, house-trained, and crate-trained. And – have you seen her eyes? She has the most beautiful eyes, with one bright blue eye and one eye that is half blue and half brown. While people may stop to compliment her eyes, they stick around for her sweet personality.
