Winter is available for adoption, she is being fostered in Vero Beach, FL (Indian River County). She is a black and white puppy with some beautiful markings. She was born sometime in mid-October and is a 14 week old puppy.  Her mom is a Catahoula mix and dad is unknown although we are thinking possible Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) due to her coloring. Winter is a playful, loving, inquisitive and smart girl. She is starting to learn to climb up the steps to the bed on her own.  She has been well-socialized and has been raised in a home with several other dogs and a 9 year old child.  Winter enjoys taking walks and does pretty well on leash at this point.  She will be best suited for an adopter who has experience with herding dogs and/or knows the Catahoula breed and has another young/playful dog at home to learn from and play with. Preference will be given to homes with other dogs and a fenced yard. Winter will go home on a spay/neuter contract - once proof of alteration is received within the specified timeframe, $50 of the adoption donation can be refunded. Winter is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
