Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed : : Male (not neutered) : : Baby : : Medium
Alvin is available for adoption, he is being fostered in Grant, FL (Brevard County). Alvin was born sometime in mid-October, making him approximately 11 weeks old. We saved his mom, a Catahoula mix, from the shelter. His dad's breed is unknown. Alvin is black and tan/grey with white points. He's got one blue eye and one brown eye, a total cutie! He is calm and sweet, curious and playful. He's got a lower energy level and on the smaller side compared to his litter mates. Alvin has been lucky enough to already be around other dogs, cats AND livestock. He's looking to continue his fun and new experiences in a forever home. Alvin will be best suited for an adopter who has experience with herding dogs and/or knows the Catahoula breed and has another young/playful dog at home to learn from and play with. Preference will be given to homes with other dogs and a fenced yard. Alvin will go home on a spay/neuter contract - once proof of alteration is received within the specified timeframe, $50 of the adoption donation can be refunded. Alvin is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
