Barkley is a lovable ten-month-old Velcro puppy. He's a handsome smooth-coated, possible-BC mix, but with a low herding  drive.  He loves napping near you—or on you. He enjoys balls and loves rawhide and walks—he’s a dream on a lead! He's smart, athletic, and highly food-motivated. He would love to pursue agility or flyball, but he's just as happy hanging out with you. He thrives as part of a multi-dog home, but needs help with resource-guarding. He’s good with cats but needs firm reminders not to chase. He’s slow to warm up, but once he does, he’ll give his life for you. His loyalty may also be his downfall—he’s protective of his home and people. It’s a wonderful thing, but he needs help learning when to stop growling and back off. He deserves someone as smart, strong, and devoted as he is, someone who wants a cuddly, protective dog and knows how to direct his powers for good. He’s a fantastic pet.
