Sage  is an 8 mo old small  heeler mix from a shelter in Alabama.  She has a very sweet loving personality and loves attention from her people.  She  is very good with other dogs and plays well with bigger and smaller ones.   Sage  is house trained, uses the doggie doors, utd on shots, spayed and on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention  Appropriate for her age,  She is a chewer and needs redirection  sometimes to chew on the proper toys and bones instead of things like paper.  However, for such a young girl  Sage  listens well and takes direction well.   She  needs a little work on basic manners and leash training, and we do recommend basic obedience classes to seat the bond between adopter and dog, and set the rules.  She is a total sweetheart of a dog, nice and little, perfect for an active lifestyle. She may also have dog performance potential, ie dock diving, agility. Sage is fostered in Trilby, Fl outside of Dade City. Her adoption fee is $250. With her size, red fur and that unique marble eye, she is a very striking girl!!   UPDATE  2/27 we have just posted a video of Sage playing! She makes those noises when she plays, that is just her modus operandi!!! She is getting along fantastically with the other dogs!! Plenty of toy drive too!!
