Jasper wins over everyone he meets with his wiggly butt, wonderful bat ears, happy disposition and big ol’ grin. This one is a real sweetheart! He gets along great with other dogs and is always very patient, even when they’re hyper. He likes to romp around in the yard and play with the ball a couple times a day but is otherwise pretty low energy. Loves to be loved on but isn’t clingy. He’s a bit reserved at first but definitely not fearful or reactive. About 2-3 years old, we have no idea what mix he is – maybe heeler and boxer? A great candidate for DNA testing. He’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative (on preventative), neutered, housebroken and calm on the leash (doesn’t pull at all). At about 55lbs. he’s tall and lanky. No food aggression. Makes the cutest grunty sounds when you pet him. Doesn’t bark unless there’s a good reason and when he does it gets your attention. Jasper would be a great match for someone looking for the added security that comes with a big dog but the easy manageability of a much smaller one. He's a great family pet and his dream is to be a lap dog. An easy keeper, we believe he would do best in a home with another canine buddy. Untested with cats but hasn’t shown interest in the neighborhood roamers. Jasper has some old scars so we think he may have had a hard life, but you'd never know it with his heart of gold. He deserves a forever home as wonderful as he is!
