Little Man Tate

Updated 19 hours ago
I am Border Collie, watch me herd!!! Bow to my immense Border Collie capabilities!! Not buying it? Yeah, my foster Mom didn’t either, but hey…she was certain she was picking up a smooth Border Collie mix, not a tiny Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier type mix. I have typical Border Collie markings…white ruff, white tip to my tail, I’m certain you can see the resemblance. The B&W motif is where it ends though. I'm a tiny but mighty dude, weighing a hefty 12 pounds, and I'm about a year and a half to two years old. My Mom is letting me hang with the herding crew, but has instructed me NOT to mess with her “herder chi”. What’s “herder chi”? Sounds like some hippie dialogue to me…right up there with aura. While I’m only an honorary Border Collie, I am a sweetheart of a little dude. I’m house trained IF you personally take me outside, preferably on a lead for now, but I’m getting better at following the “go potty” directions off lead. I can leap onto my foster Mom’s bed in one practically effortless bound. I curl up right next to my foster Mom’s pillow when it’s nite-nite time. At this precise moment in time she’s saying that I’m an “easy keeper”, but who knows the terrier that must dwell somewhere in my soul…it may show itself one day. For now, I’m content to just chill out with my Foster Mom and brethren, and one annoying “play with me”, “flirt with me”, “I’m going to bark until you play”, sister. If you’re looking for a low key, fur covered, friend and confidante, I’m looking for a loving home, perhaps with another dog, my Mom would like me to have a fence, and lots of one on one time with people who adore me. All dogs should be adored. It’s in our contract. My first people broke that contract. Their loss is your gain. I’m fostered in the Tallahassee area, and to be eligible for me, you must fill out an adoption application, and be willing to come meet me. Mom’s rules. She says that I’m totally worth the trip, no matter how far the drive, and is almost 100% certain that you'll think so too. Uncertain of her statistical data? She shared with me that she's not EVEN a little dog fan, and she already loves me. Here's where you start the process:
