Katie came from a very rural shelter in Ga, where very few dogs get adopted from due to low traffic.She was very underweight when we got her. Her foster mom in Bradenton has this to say about Miss Katie:

Katie is a wonderful girl who has a lot of love to give. She is just over a
year old and still has a lot of puppy in her. She is a super happy girl that
always has a tail wagging and she loves belly rubs! She is fully
housetrained and does well all day and during the night without a crate. She
gets along with other dogs but is slow to get comfortable with them. For the
first week, she just tolerated my dog before they really began to play
together. She prefers to meet other dogs one on one in a quiet setting. Too
much noise and dog activity overwhelms her and she will get a little growly.
She has ignored the resident cats in the house but while walking, if there
are outside cats or squirrels she will pull and try to chase them. Her leash
walking skills are otherwise very good. She does not like a broom and shys
away from me when I have one in my hands. She is very thunderphobic. In a
recent storm, she jumped on the bed with me and would not get down. She was
shaking and very scared. Normally, she stays off the bed and settles down
very nicely at night.
She loves to play with toys and "talks" to them. She will steal shoes and
put them in her crate but has never chewed on any of them. She is very food
motivated and I am using that to work on her basic obedience. She has a sit
and lie down but still gets overly excited when I come home or when it's
meal time. We are working on "stay" and "wait". She does counter surf if not
supervised when there is food out in the kitchen. I think that is due to her
being very underweight. She is fed 3 times a day with puppy food to try to
get weight back on her.

Katie is fostered in the Bradenton area. She will be a great active companion, and would benefit from obedience classes and more socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. Come meet this little girl, you will fall in love with her!!
