Mac is a beautiful handsome 1 yr old Border Collie from a rural shelter in Alabama, where he was picked up as a stray. The shelter has had him since the beginning of Sept and kept him because he has such a great personality. However with the holidays upon us, space was short and so was Macs time. It was up, so we brought him to Florida. He is settling in nicely, gets along with most dogs. He will not back down though, if challenged but that may be because he is new here. He responds very well to verbal correction, eager to please you. Mac knows nothing. We are working on basic commands, housebreaking, jumping and all around life skills. He is a high energy boy, but does have an off switch, and will relax in the house at your feet. He does not know how to play with toys yet, is very fast and does loops around the pond. I would say at this point that he would be fine to do agility, disc or flyball. He has great focus on people, more so than on other dogs, and is basically an open book,ready to learn. He is crate trained, we are working on leash skills. He does ride ok loose in a car. Loves to give kisses and likes belly rubs!:) He is neutered, utd on shots. Mac would do well in an active or performance home, he will need a fenced yard, although he does have a great recall because he loves people so much! Come and meet Mac, you may just want to take him home for the holidays!!!!
