Ladd is a delightful merle?? sable?? boy around 4 or 5 yrs old. He was pulled over a month ago for rescue from a high kill shelter in Ga. While at his fosters up there, he escaped and was living in the woods around her house. Tho traps were set, but Ladd managed to evade them for 3 weeks!! Word has it, one day he just strolled into a neighbors yard, 2 miles away, and walked up to her and put his head in her lap!! We now have him here safe and sound at Ewenity!! Lad is a very handsome boy, big boned at 55#. He is very calm , have not seen a lot of play drive. He sure wags his tail a lot, and gets all wiggly when you talk to him,tho!! He does not seem to know any commands, does well in a crate and does okay with other dogs, better with females than dominant males. He has not started any trouble here tho, and mostly keeps to himself! Loves to be with people and follows me all around the house. He is laying at my feet now while I am on computer. Loves to be groomed, he fell asleep the other day while I was combing him out! He has not exhibited any digging, barking, shows little interest in sheep at this time. Just a great low to moderately active dog that wants to enjoy the comforts of a home!!! If you are looking for a low maintenance dog, Ladd may be for you! He is up to date on shots, heartworm free and ready to give you unconditional love!! A home with a 6 ft fence is recommended, since he has a history of being a free spirit!!! Update 4/21, Ladd roughhouses with all the other dogs, and likes to play tug.He also loves the water, and has gotten more active, altho I would still classify him as moderate energy level!! Just a sweet wonderful low maintenance boy!!!
