Look out!! Here comes a Border Jack!! Great combo of both a border and a jack russell!! Miss Katie is 29 pounds and 16" of pure energy, love and fun!!! This little black and white cutie was pulled from a NC shelter, and is now adjusting to the Florida lifestyle. Katie is a snuggle bunny, but has plenty of play toy and tug drive!! She is shy in new situations but when acclimated she has plenty of energy! With an off switch too! LOVES people, other dogs, kids. Not sure about cats, I think she would be afraid of them. She is very cautious when out in the big world, we are acclimating to the car, going for lots of rides and visiting the feed store, meeting new people and just getting out! Really dont think she had too much of that in her life. She is just a year old, and has just been spayed. All shots UTD, and chipped. Loves her crate, no barking or digging. She would do well with another active canine companion, and people that have an active life style. Boings up and down like a yoyo, jumps very high. Has an endearing stub tail that just wags all the time! Knows sit, down and has a really great recall! If you are looking for a small dog that is lots of fun, look no further! Katie would be great at flyball, and agility. She will be exposed to obedience classes and agility class in the next few weeks! Katie is at the farm in Bradenton, her adoption fee is $250. update 11/25 Katie is doing great!! She has calmed down a bit, now that she has freedom, and security. She would like to be with you all the time, so if you are looking for a snuggle dog this is the dog!! She swims like a fish, and enjoys laying on the back porch in the sun. Enjoys playing with squeaky toys, and likes a good tennis ball. Katie will start basic agility classes this week, should be fun!! update 1/17 Katie is a busy little girl!! She loves to play with toys, and we have started obedience classes. She needs more work in leash training, and should continue in obedience classes. She loves to play with other dogs, yet has an off switch and is very quiet in the house. She does need to be crated when you leave the house for a period of time, as she will rearrange clothing, shoes and pillows etc while you are gone. We call it Katie art!! This is a girl that would do very well as a performance dog or in an active family where she can get a lot of exercise. Remains a couch potatoe, and enjoys watching tv with the family!
