Paris is a young girl maybe a year old from a high kill shelter in N. Fl. She is a very active, intense and intelligent girl who will need a playmate that is very active, i.e. another dog or two. She would make an excellent performance dog. She has not been here long enough to see which venue she would be good in but we can tell it needs to be anything fast! She will play nonstop with another dogs for hours. She is very focused on people, and will look you directly in the eye when you are talking to her, or giving her direction. She has an automatic sit that she came with, and has an extreme recall; she comes bounding back to you no matter where she is. She seems to already know her name!! Lots of tug drive, toy and ball drive there. Some of her energy may be decompression from shelter shock but regardless, this is a highly active girl. She had already been to the shelter once for running away, this was her 2nd time and no one came for her. Our good fortune, we will make sure she goes to the right home this time. Extremely beautiful girl, she is somewhat independent, but has a submissive side to her and does listen when you tell her something. She has a habit of bouncing and whirling when she gets out of the crate, and we are trying to redirect with a toy or a command. Will be taking her to class this week and see what happens. In case we forgot to mention what we think she is, how about basenji and bc??? Very unique girl! Will not recommend cats or toddlers or small children with this girl and a fenced yard is going to be a must! We think there is something special about Paris and if you do too, please contact us!
