Jackie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Meet Jackie. This gal is one of the sweetest, happiest dogs you'll ever meet. She’s so happy, in fact, that her foster mom has taken to calling her Jack (short for Jackrabbit) because she bounces as she runs. Jack is approximately 3 years old, spayed, has beautiful markings and weighs 33lbs. She spent several months in a shelter before being rescued and placed in a good foster home. Though we don't know her entire story, we do know that she was once part of a good home because she knows “sit”and "leave it", she's gentle, she waits to go to her food bowl, she walks wonderfully on a leash, she's crate trained, and…well, the list goes on! She also does well with cats. Jackie would do best in a quietly adventurous home. What does that mean? Jackie loves trips in the car, parks that aren't busy, playing in the sand, and doggy puzzles. She loves to be out and about with her person, but she likes to feel safe, so crowds & festivals are not for her. She would love a companion dog, but she can also be the only dog in the house as long as her family is committed to exercising her. Slow introductions are best, but once she warms up, she is ready to play and have fun. She is currently being fostered in the Jacksonville, FL area. If you're looking for a dog that has the all the fun and energy of a puppy but not the training and demands of a puppy, then look no further! This gal is the perfect dog for you.
