Haze is currently in an Alabama foster home. He can come to Florida with a commited foster or foster to adopt offer. He would arrive next Weds on the 19th and you must be able to pick him up at one of three locations. Oveido, wildwood or Wesley Chapel.. Please submit an app asap if you are interested in him.. He is an awesome dog!!

Here is what his foster says about him.     I would describe Hayes as a beautiful, quiet (as far as dogs go) & well behaved ~1year old heeler mix with very soft fur which he loves to have stroked & brushed. He gives soft kisses in return & wouldn’t mind being a -~33lb. lap dog. He asks when he needs to go out & is fairly tidy in the yard keeping his play & leisurely bone chewing spots clean; speaking of which he is an avid bone chewer & has the super clean white teeth to prove it! He also likes to chase, chew & retrieve balls; sticks, & frisbees. I’d say he has an average need for exercise. He has not exhibited food aggression around me or our indoor cats who he seems to respect; although he will give a bit of chase to but has only offended not harmed them. He gently takes food or treats. He does like to catch & eat flying insects…i.e. bees & wasps; for which he isn’t always lucky in avoiding stings. If inside he yelps & barks a few times when we leave the house but hasn’t been destructive while we are gone. He does get very excited when we return & either does a wiggly circular dance in the foyer or start the zoomies if outside. He will walk into a crate & doesn’t seem to mind bring crated. He also knows the command “wait” so he doesn’t barge out of the crate before one can get it safely opened. So far he has been friendly to the new people he has met; but, as far as other dogs I think a lot depends on the other dog. He doesn’t seem too territorial & is not triggered by close by neighbor dogs barking. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by thunder storms. He wants to chase birds, cats, & squirrels he sees outside with his good day & night vision. He uses his sense of smell to find things a lot, too. He also has a good memory & gets concerned if something is out of place like a new car or trash can on the street. He loves his people & would be a great addition to your family.
