Regina, now known as Genie, is a very sweet 5-month-old pup (est date of birth October 11, 2021) currently being fostered in Venice, Florida. She appears to be a German Shepherd/Beagle mix. There may be a touch of cattle dog in there also. She is happy, healthy and friendly. Nothing much scares her. She currently weighs 26.4 lbs. Her adult weight could be 50 to 60 lbs. She loves all people and other dogs. She plays very well with her foster mom’s two-year-old German Shepherd mix. She respects and is gentle with her foster mom’s two older Aussies who are not up for the high intensity games she plays with the younger dog. She would love to be in a home with another playful medium to large sized dog. She would also do well as an only dog because she loves attention from people and learns very quickly. She loves toys, especially balls and squeak toys. She doesn't mind being touched, groomed or bathed; nail trims and baths are a breeze. She is crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate. Like all puppies, she would benefit from training to ensure positive, happy and friendly interactions with other dogs. She has not yet been introduced to cats, but if introduced appropriately, she will probably be fine. She is in search of her forever home and available for adoption. She currently uses potty pads and is working on transitioning to using the bathroom more outside. She will go potty outside if her foster mom catches her cues in time. She is up to date on core vaccines and rabies. Genie requires a home with a fenced-in yard.
