Finn is an 8-month-old, 40-lb, German Shepherd-Carolina Dog-Heeler mix currently being fostered in Satellite Beach, FL (Brevard County). This mellow guy loves to cuddle and be reminded that he is a good boy. He is friendly with other dogs and cats, but sometimes needs a break from playing with his foster brothers so he can chew a toy or cuddle. He loves to go places, but will want to be by your side if he is anywhere but home. He is working on his training, including sit and stay, and is eager to please. He would benefit from additional training to help him with his confidence. He likes mellow voices and listens very well if you talk calmly. He can be nervous at times, and anything new should be introduced slowly and with a person (or dog) he trusts. Finn walks well on a hardness and does not pull. He is potty trained, but hasn’t yet learned how to say he needs to go outside. Finn would do best in a home with adults, because he does tend to imprint on someone he can trust and sticks with them, and a fenced-in yard. He is housetrained, crate-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on all vaccines. With a little patience, Finn will make an amazing companion!
