Lad is an approximately two-to-four-year-old Border Collie currently being fostered in Palm City, FL (Martin County). He will require an experienced Border Collie adopter and a home with a fenced yard. Lad is sweet and loves people, but he gets distracted very easily, which means he needs a quiet environment and someone with the time, willingness, and knowledge to continue his training. A dog park will not be considered an option. He walks fairly well on a leash, which should improve as he becomes less easily distracted. He can be dog selective with certain males so a home with no other dogs or a quiet female would be best, and he is too rambunctious for young children. Lad has not been tested on cats, but a home with cats is not recommended. He will be a wonderful pet companion for the right person.
