Nova is currently fostered in St. Petersburg, FL (Pinellas County). She is a 30-pound, Blue Heeler mix with a stunning, soft coat and the sweetest personality! Almost a year old, Nova is smart, loving, quiet, playful, and energetic. She's a dream in her crate and housetrained. She's learned to ring a bell when she has to go potty and is learning basic obedience very quickly. Nova will need some more work on leash, but is very good on a gentle lead. She's easy to train and super eager to please. The only thing Nova loves more than cuddles and full-body hugs is playing. She'll need a fenced yard and plenty of walks, and would adore a canine playmate in her furever home. Like most heelers, Nova can get a bit nippy/mouthy when she gets excited or during play. She never bites and is improving, but due to this and her high energy Nova would prefer a home without young children. Nova is not tested with cats but might be good in a home with them, as she's been disinterested or a little wary while passing nearby neighborhood cats on walks.
