Jack Russell Terrier (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Small
Jack Sparrow was dumped at a local shelter in Florida. He has been neglected for some time, and despite that he is a happy little guy of 21 pounds and 8 yrs old. We are working on getting Jacks skin back in order. Right now it is inflamed and hard in some areas. He does not have any mange. The vet feels it is due to years of neglect and poor nutrition. Jack is happy go lucky. He is starting to play with toys, loves to be petted. Good with other dogs, it seems he may even need to be around other dogs. He has shown no guarding tendencies of toys or food. He walks well on lead, will crate, and is housebroken. He has lower energy level and would make a good companion dog for an older couple. At this time we are seeking a foster for him with possible intent to adopt while he heals. He is scheduled for a neuter on May 6th. Jack is located in Bradenton and available for meets once an application has been approved.
