Border Collie : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
Acorn is available for adoption, she is being fostered in Dallas, GA ( Paulding County). She's a small female Border Collie of approximately 40 lbs and around 2-3 years of age. Acorn is a sweet, quiet girl who is looking for a human to bond with. Her life before rescue was most likely scary and because of that she is really shy at first, however after time she warms up to people nicely and truly enjoys being loved on and given affection. Acorn is house broken (though if she gets really scared, she can sometimes have an accident out of fear). She's also crate trained and does really well in the car! Her favorite way to unwind is a long walk or jog. In fact, she loves walks so much that she never pulls and is not at all reactive to other animals or people walking by. She's easy going/submissive and gets along well with others, including large or small dogs, male or female, cats and kids! Her current foster home has two little girls (age 8) and she became quick friends with them before anyone else in the house. Acorn really enjoys company and playing so she would do best in a home with a dog companion to share her time with. She's such a happy dog and shows it with a big smile whenever she get excited! Acorn is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. We are a foster-based rescue organization with foster homes throughout the state of Florida. We predominantly save dogs from municipal shelters throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our rescue dogs live in foster homes - there is no central facility.
