Hallie is fostered in Lakeland, FL (Polk County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Hallie is an 8-month-old herding breed mix, likely with border collie and heeler in the mix. She currently weighs 28 lbs. Hallie is lightning fast, athletic, and very intelligent. She is very shy with new people, but has come a long way in the past few weeks with her foster family. Once you earn her trust she is sweet, eager to please, and loves to interact with you. She is not scared of loud noises or most objects. Hallie has potential for agility, rally, trick training, dock diving, or just to be a lovely, sweet active family pet. She loves stuffed toys with or without squeakers. She is not yet showing much interest in the ball, but will chase frisbee rollers and loves to play in the water. She is currently attending puppy obedience classes and doing very well. She walks well on lead and rides nicely in the car. She is on the higher energy side of average, but does have an off switch and is happy to lounge, nap or play with her toys. She does require a home with a fenced yard and one where she will be given plenty of activity. Hallie loves to play with other dogs and shows no resource guarding around them. At this time she has not been evaluated with cats or children. Hallie is mostly housebroken, but like most young dogs will need to be let out every few hours during the day. She does not have accidents in her crate and will hold it overnight in there. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free. More about HallieGood with Dogs
