Zoey is fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Zoey is a vivacious young Aussie, about 8 months and 34 lbs, looking for an adopter with herding breed experience. She will likely fill out more before fully grown. She loves to play ball, tug and hang out around the kiddie pools. She knows basic commands but could use some more training, as any dog could. She walks fairly well on lead. We are requiring that her adoptive home have a fenced yard, and unless her adopter gives her a serious job and loads of exercise, she should go to a home with another active dog. Zoey gets along fine with other dogs. She clearly has a lot of herding drive and does have a history of herding kids, so we are listing her for adoption to an adult-only home. Zoey is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free.
