Thurgood is fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Thurgood is a sweet blue heeler of 29 lbs and 12 mos. He was very timid upon coming into foster care, but is now coming out of his shell and playing. He is food- and attention-motivated. He does not seem to like it when the other dogs in his foster home play rough, but he does fine with other dogs. He would also be fine as an only dog in an adoptive home. Thurgood does require a fenced yard. He loves people, but kids are unknown at this time, and we would not recommend him for homes with young children as he exhibits the typical mouthiness of a young heeler. Thurgood is housebroken and crate trained. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free.
