Jackson is fostered in Lecanto, FL (Citrus County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Introducting Jackson! Jackson is a young adult smooth border collie mix who is looking for his next adventure! Jackson is full of energy and requires a companion dog who has a similar level of energy (highly recommended) or else an active human who can challenge him mentally as well as physically. Jackson bonds with his human fast and deeply, so someone who works from home or has the ability to take their dog to work would be ideal. Jackson is extremely smart, learns easily, and is perfectly happy with other canines. Jackson thinks cats are meant to be chased so a cat-free home would be best. Jackson has not been tested around kids so due to his breed and his energy level, a home with young kids might not be the best fit. A fenced yard is a must--6 foot high. Jackson is fostered about 1.5 hours north of Tampa, but he is a special dog and is worth the drive. Jackson is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free.
