Dixie is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Dixie is currently fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). Dixie is a petite heeler girl of 25 lbs and about a year old. She is funny with people and will need a rescue-friendly adopter in a calm home willing to work on trust with her. She is a very people-centric dog as many heelers are. She is food motivated and is starting to come around as a big fan of playing ball and liking the water. She certainly does not like hyper dogs in her face, but coexists fine with other dogs. She has good recall and knows basic commands. She walks nicely on lead and rides well in the car. She likes to lie upside down and be silly. This girl will make a nice dog for a patient, understanding person. Dixie is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, and microchipped.
