Eclipse is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Eclipse is currently fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County).

Eclipse is an affectionate, exuberant 4-month-old. Her paperwork from the shelter says she is an Aussie mix, and that may be so - but we and our vet both think she is a German Shepherd mix. She will be a large adult as she is already about 40 lbs. She just got back from the vet and is all set to go with her microchip, negative fecal exam and current vaccines. She is also up-to-date on flea/tick and heartworm preventives. If adopted soon, she will go home with a spay contract, and once proof of spay is submitted at 6 months of age, $50 of her adoption donation can be refunded.

Eclipse is very playful, energetic and intelligent. She is observant and does not hesitate to let you know when she wants food or to go outside. She loves to play, play, play with the other young pup in her foster home. She has big bearlike paws and loves to give kisses. She would do fine as an only dog as she loves the attention, as long as her adopter will commit to giving her proper exercise and mental stimulation! She is still all puppy, but we can tell she would make a good sports dog as she loves the ball and frisbee as well as other toys, and would make an awesome hiking, biking or jogging companion!

Eclipse is still learning the life of an inside dog and sometimes submissive pees a little bit if she gets a bit freaked out by unfamiliar sights and sounds indoors. She has never had an actual full-blown accident indoors, though. She is crate trained - she is vocal in the crate if other dogs or people are moving around her and she feels left out, but she quiets down quickly once everyone settles. She sleeps in her crate at night and does not make a peep. She is learning her commands and is very biddable and attentive, especially when treats are involved! She will absolutely need obedience class, as any puppy would. She rides nicely and quietly in the car. She is a good alert dog as she will bark if a car pulls in the driveway or a strange person comes up to the fence.
