Hamilton is currently fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families!

Hamilton is 25 lbs of "put a smile on your face!" He is a Basset Hound x Dachshund mix - he could be anywhere from 2-4 years old. He is a no-trouble boy and just wonderful - walks nicely on a leash and has great manners. He loves to play with toys and the flirt pole, runs pretty fast, and even swims! He has an endearing habit of picking up blankets and towels, carrying them around and making a nest out of them. 

He gets along great with other dogs and is very playful - he would do best in a home with a well-balanced, playful companion dog. He also does wonderfully with people of all ages - he especially adores children and gravitates toward them. He was the hit of a softball game when all the kids came over and visited him! This little guy will make a wonderful companion or family dog. He does require a fenced-in yard as he is just one of those dogs who does not seem to like to potty on leash, and he loves to stroll around and hunt lizards. He loves to go out in public to restaurants and the park. Hammie is up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is ready for his forever family!
