Gibbs is be ready to join his new home. He is currently fostered in St. Pete. We know Gibbs is mostly lab, possibly border collie. Gibbs is a playful, active boy and is a parvo survivor. Puppies/dogs that have been infected with parvovirus should not be homed with dogs who are not vaccinated or who are immunocompromised (commonly senior pets). Puppies/dogs that have been infected with parvo should not go to any dog parks or communal dog areas outdoors until 6 months after they have been free of parvo. New puppies/dogs that are not completely vaccinated for parvo MUST NOT be introduced to the home until after the 6 month shedding period of the virus. Parvovirus does not typically carry any residual effects once the pet had recovered, however, some stomach irritation may remain and a special diet may be needed.
