Looking for Medical Foster Jake is a 4 year old mixed-breed dog that is house broken and crate trained. He gets along with everyone-cats, dogs, and kids of all ages. He rides beautifully in the car and loves to go to the dog park. He walks well on a leash and Easy Walk harness. He is not afraid of thunderstorms and rarely barks. He's almost perfect! Jake was diagnosed with canine epilepsy at 1.5 years old and
was immediately prescribed phenobarbital. Over time, the seizures have increased as well as his medications. He is currently on phenobarbital, potassium bromide, and Kepra daily. Jake has been prescribed clonezepam when he has clusters of seizures. If the meds are given properly, the seizures can be controlled and kept at 1-2 per month. He also take Sentinel monthly. He is up to date on all shots.
Jake needs to be placed where he is the ONLY DOG as he has suffered through two dog attacks during seizures that required veterinary assistance.

We are a FOSTER BASED rescue and not a shelter. Dogs live with us in our homes and can only be seen by appointment. |
