Evan is a one-to-two-year-old, 30 lb cattle dog currently being fostered in Clearwater, FL (Pinellas County). Hit by a car on July 4th, orthopedic surgery has been completed and he has recovered nicely; Evan was also treated for heartworm disease. Treatment is complete; he will continue monthly prevention and require a heartworm test to confirm negative status in April 2023.

Why shy upon first meeting new people, Evan warms quickly to people and pets and will become quite the Velcro dog with his new family! He is currently being fostered with another cattle dog and a 6-year-old child and has proven to be gentle with both! While he enjoys going for a walk around the neighborhood, he is also content to curl up at your feet or next to you on the couch and sleep the day away. Evan's favorite things are treats and toys! He is notorious for pulling every toy out of his toy bin and tossing them in the air playfully before bringing them all onto his dog bed before a good snooze.

Overall, he is crate trained, house trained, and walks very well on leash. Obedient, kind, and good with other dogs. Cats unknown. Evan is an incredibly sweet and easy-going dog that is ready for his adoptive family!
