Diesel is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Diesel is currently fostered in Gulfport, FL (Pinellas County).

Diesel is a handsome red heeler of about 1 year old and 40 lbs. He has medium-to-high energy and a lot of herding drive. He is very playful with other dogs and plays a bit rough. He currently lives with another young male dog and they do great together. An evenly matched dog in energy and size would be best, but his foster mom feels he would be happiest as an only dog with an active family as he loves attention. He fits the criteria of a typical Velcro heeler and will need some work to ensure moderation and appropriate expression of attention-seeking behavior. 

Diesel does fine with kids and is OK with cats too. He needs some basic obedience work, as any young dog does. Diesel loves the water and is a dock diving prospect, and would do great at other sports too once he has completed his basic obedience work. Diesel is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is looking for an active family to take him places and show him new things!
